Park Party 2026 is a free, family-friendly community celebration designed to connect Martin Luther King Park neighbors through community and play. The day will feature a variety of activities for all ages, including:
• Fitness classes (line dancing at 9 AM, hip hop step at 1 PM)
• Basketball clinic and activities with Grand Rapids Gold
• Community art with MUSE GR
• Student art showcase
• Water safety programming and pool safety sessions (#swim1922)
• CPR training by the Black Nurses Association
• Kids play zone and yard games
• Face painting
• Food trucks
• Live DJ
• Resource tables — Gift of Life
RESOURCE TABLE DETAILS
• Tables will be open to guests beginning at 11:00 AM through the end of the event at 3:00 PM
• Our table will be located within the park grounds at MLK Community Center & Park
• Specific table placement and check-in details will be shared closer to the event date
• Please plan to arrive early enough to set up before 11:00 AM (exact arrival window TBD — we will follow up with more details)
