Hello Gift of Life Michigan Volunteers,
The Macomb County Office of Senior Serviceshas invited us to participate in their upcoming Volunteer Recruitment Fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 11.
The free event is part of the nationwide Day of Service, which was created to pay tribute and to honor the victims and heroes of 9/11 by promoting year-round volunteerism rather than single-day volunteer engagements.
“This is a great opportunity for any organization that is seeking volunteers to promote volunteer opportunities that are available at their organization,” said Sheila Cote, director of the Macomb County Office of Senior Services in a news release.
“Last year was the first year we held the Volunteer Recruitment Fair, and were positively encouraged by the public turn-out at the event.” The free event also provides the public with an opportunity to see what kind of volunteer opportunities are available that might interest them.
We are seeking 2-4 volunteers to host a GOLM information table and recruit other volunteers in that area.
