Saginaw Chippewa Powwow

Expired

Description

The 41st annual Saginaw Chippewa Powwow is a lively celebration that will featuring traditional dance, drumming, and authentic foods.

Gift of Life Michigan will be tabling the event as a vendor and a sponsor. We need help staffing the table to hand out giveaway items and answer questions about our work. This is an outdoor event, but we will have a canopy.

There is a cost to attend the event. It is $3 for the day or $5 if you decide to attend all three days. Please ask for a receipt, and the staff member working with you will help you submit it for reimbursement.

Powwows are often an open cultural practice, which means the tribal community is allowing non-members to participate respectfully. If you're not familiar with powwow etiquette, please read this brief overview from Grand Valley State University.

You can learn more about the powwow on their website
